  • Overview

    We are seeking a JIOC-K J2 Plans and Exercise INTELLIGENCE PLANNER to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K. Provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK and Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders.


    The JIOC-K's efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy's probable courses of action.


    The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO).



    Tasks that the contractor shall perform include but are not limited to the following:

    • Assist in Intelligence Planning production and implementation
    • Conduct studies of intelligence planning programs.
    • Serve as SME during intelligence planning or working forums; interpret and analyze complex legislative, regulatory and new policy guidance to develop and prepare recommendations to the S. Government
    • Assist in exercise planning through the training of theater staffs and augmentation
    • Conduct red team review; explore alternatives in plans, operations, concepts, organizations, and capabilities. Anticipate developments of strategic concern and identify opportunities as well as vulnerabilities for decision makers


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must have experience and/or documented education into the nK threat, its capabilities, and its TTPs.
    • Must have experience participating in the Joint Planning processes.
    • Familiarity with the OPLAN and CONPLAN for US and ROK forces.
    • 2-4 Years with Bachelors or 0-2 Years with Masters or HS diploma + 6-8 years of relevant experience.
    • Clearance:  Must have active TS/SCI clearance. CI Polygraph eligible.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Preferred language skills: a Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) test score 3/3 or equivalent in Korea and English. 
    • Mid-Level: Bachelor or master's degrees with 4-6 years of experience, or, specialized training & 4-8 years-experience, or, equivalent academic experience.

    Clearance Requirements:

    • Must have active TS/SCI clearance. CI Polygraph eligible.
    • • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.

    Individual contractors serving in hostile areas are authorized by the Contracting Officer, subject to the Theater Commander's policy on the matter to carry Government-issued side arms/weapons and in accordance with USFK contingency conditions clause
