    Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a RDT&E Intelligence Analyst to support our customer, Joint Improvised-threat Defeat Organization (JIDO).

         

    The RDT&E Analysts must use demonstrated knowledge of multi-discipline intelligence to generate fused production, indications and warning, network analysis, counterterrorism and other irregular warfare threat analysis.  You may be called upon to provide advice and brief government leadership regarding critical political, military or irregular warfare capabilities in support of operational and tactical level Attack-the-Network planning and fused operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform research and apply in-depth technical intelligence analytic expertise to identify, assess and report on improvised future threats including terrorism, insurgencies and improvised explosive devices including UAS systems.
    • Read and analyze UAS related or other technical documents for relevancy and feasibility; familiarity with various sources of technological information is required.
    • Synthesize research material into manageable topics for presentation and present to senior level officials both internal and external to the organization.
    • Develop C-IED and C-UAS threat analysis that can be used across a spectrum of Counter Insurgency (COIN) / C-IED activities.
    • Monitor trends, issues and their impact to produce intelligence products to inform leadership and deployed forces to assist in their planning and strategy.
    • Create intelligence products to assist with decision making by providing significant recommendations based on fused intelligence.
    • Maintain responsibility for the research, interpretation, analysis, production, dissemination, and assessment of all-source intelligence products supporting force operations, conducting full-spectrum operations.
    • Read, evaluate, summarize and integrate open source and IC reporting for use in producing intelligence products to meet planned or tasked production requirements.
    • Maintain and update databases, identify intelligence gaps, respond to ad hoc information requests, and track all tasks and ad hoc products to completion.
    • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Formal training as an Intelligence Analyst with a focus on WTI and or RDT&E; 8+ years of experience as an All Source Analyst is required -OR- a single discipline focused intelligence analyst with substantive experience in a field such as RDT&E, EOD, WTI, exploitation, etc.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of technical intelligence with an ability to understand Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and/or developmental weapon systems including C2 systems, components and methods of navigation, power systems, payload and propulsion systems, materials, optics and mission planning software
    • Significant demonstrated experience producing and presenting technical intelligence to senior leadership and decision makers; this requires experience translating highly technical concepts into terms that can be absorbed by audiences without a technical background
    • Demonstrated analytic experience determining how technology is used by extremists to overcome conventional defense systems
    • US Passport for OCONUS Travel as Travel may be required
    • Must speak fluent English and have excellent written and oral communication skills; will be required to communicate with subject matter experts inside and outside of DoD on relevant topics

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree Required, degree in a hard science (engineering, physics, chemistry, etc.) is preferred
    • Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
      • in-depth knowledge and understanding of the basic functionality of improvised threats to include explosives, radio transmissions and reception, materials, components and electronics as well as TTPs involved in executing an improvised attack.
      • 2+ years of staff experience preferred
      • All Source Intelligence Analysis; single discipline experience (i.e. CI, HUMINT, SIGINT, etc.) is only acceptable if a candidate has a strong background in RDT&E, EOD, WTI, exploitation etc.
    • Joint Improvised-threat Defeat Organization (JIDO) or Agency (JIDA) experience is preferred but not required

    Clearance Requirements:           

    • Active TS/SCI Clearance for the DoD is required
